David Taylor-Smith- MMA Coach/Pro Fighter

David has over 15 years experience in Martial Arts, he is a Master level in Wing Chun Kung Fu under Si Gung Rick Spain. David is a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter in the lightweight division. He is also graded in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu awarded by Renato Charuto Verrisimo (Nova Uniao). He is an active practitioner in Free style wrestling and Judo. David has trained and continues to train around the world with some of the best practitioners and coaches around in Mixed Martial Arts. David has also appeared and still is current on the Australian fighting circuit.

Glenn Taylor-Smith- MMA Coach/Pro fighter

Glenn has over 15 years experience in Martial Arts. Glenn is a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions. He is also graded in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu awarded by Renato Charuto Verrisimo (Nova Uniao). He is an active practitioner in Free style wrestling and Judo. Glenn has trained and continues to train around the world with some of the best practitioners and coaches around in Mixed Martial Arts. Glenn is currently fighting in the Featherweight division of Australia, as well as being the first ever TUFFA Featherweight champion of Australia.

Rodney Ellis- Head BJJ Coach

Rodney is the Head BJJ coach at Martial Arts Development.

Graded to Black Belt in 2005 by Andre Pederneiras at Nova Uniao HQ in Rio
Graded to 1st Degree in 2009 by Assed in Rio de Janeiro
NSW BJJ Federation State Champion at Purple Belt (2003) and Brown Belt (2004)
2001, 2005 & 2007 Australasian Submission Wrestling Runner Up (ADDC Qualifiers)
2005 Rio de Janeiro State Runner-Up at Brown Belt
2007 and 2009 Pan Pacific Jiu-Jitsu Champion at Black Belt
2009 Australasian Submission Wrestling Champion (ADDC Qualifiers)
2009 Professional Gi Champion (Australian Rep at 2010 Abu Dhabi Pro Gi)
Countless other victories in Australian Open Championships and other Tournaments whilst living Rio de Janeiro
In 2001 he made his Professional MMA Debut in Tokyo Japan (SHOOTO)
In 2004 and 2005 he was a member of the Nova Uniao Professional MMA Team

Hugo Nunes

Hugo is a Nova Uniao Black belt from Brazil. Trained and awarded his black belt under World class BJJ/MMA player Joao Roque. Hugo has taught and trained in Canada, Brazil and the U.S, in some of the worlds best known training centres.

Steve Asanovic- Head Personal Trainer

Steve is a passionate enthusiast of Health and fitness, having completed his Personal Training (PT) course from the AIF, Steve is currently a PT in a commercial gym as well as being a strength and conditioning/cardio coach to the M.A.D Fight team. Steve is also an Amateur MMA fighter.

Andy Combes- Head Wing Chun Instructor

Andy is in charge of Wing chun within the gym. He has over 15years experience in the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. He is a Gold belt (masters level) under Si-Gung Rick Spain.
